Meet Leslie
Hi, I’m Leslie — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve always loved creating.
Whether I’m illustrating a children’s book, painting a favorite travel destination, or experimenting with a new medium, I believe creativity has a way of connecting us—to memories, to family, and to each other.
For more than twenty-five years, I built a career helping people learn and grow in the dental profession. Today, I’ve traded much of that world for paintbrushes, sketchbooks, and stories—creating work that celebrates curiosity, preserves meaningful memories, and brings a little more joy into the world.
Creating Art
Many of my paintings are inspired by places I've explored, while others come from the people, moments, and little things that simply make me happy. I work primarily in watercolor, along with oil pastels and mixed media, and I love experimenting with new ways to tell a story through color and line.
Whether it's a place someone remembers, a piece that makes them smile, or simply something beautiful for their home, I hope my artwork creates a connection.
Writing Stories
My journey as an author began with a desire to create meaningful stories for the children in my life—stories that could also connect with readers far beyond my own family.
What began with a children's picture book has grown into a love of writing for different ages, from young readers to adults. While each story is different, I find myself drawn to many of the same themes: friendship, discovery, the choices we make, the people who shape us, and the unexpected moments that can change the course of a life.
Whether I'm writing about a child's first big milestone, an eleven-year-old searching for what makes her unique, or lifelong friends looking back on a summer they never truly left behind, I hope to create characters and stories that readers can see a little of themselves in.
